| Originally from southern Illinois (southeast of St. Louis), Adam attended McKendree University in Lebanon, Illinois, where he double-majored in Theatre & Vocal Performance. After graduating Magna Cum Laude with his Bachelor of Arts degree and upon being accepted into the Master of Fine Arts in Acting program at the Actors Studio Drama School/New School for Drama, he moved to New York City during the summer of 2004.
He studied the Method in Graduate School for three years with such teachers as Emmy and Tony Award-winning actor Ron Leibman, Emmy-winning director Gene Lasko, and acclaimed actor/director/playwright Austin Pendleton, as well as other members of the Actors Studio. Adam has also studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, where he trained in the Meisner Technique.
Adam has performed professionally in New York City as well as in Regional Theatre & Summer Stock. He has also made appearances on Television and in Film. In addition, he has done voice-over work with Zemi Communications, Bravo, NYU, and others. He also is currently doing voice-over and video work for FLYP Media, an online magazine.
A teacher as well as a performer, Adam is a teaching artist for Broadway Bound, where he teaches classes in Acting and Musical Theatre. He teaches private lessons in Voice, Singing, and Acting, and has served as a guest actor/artist at the School of Visual Arts (NYU) and New York University.
Adam's first full-length play, Fundamental Decencies, was produced by McKendree University in 2004. He wrote, directed, and acted in this play, which focused on the McCarthy-era hearings in Hollywood during the 1950's. |
